Rev. Kenneth Thornton
Pastor

Pastor Ken Thornton is originally from Vicksburg, MS, and is married to the former Ann Johnson of England, AR. They have two sons, Craig and Jonathan, and two granddaughters. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Baptist College in Conway, AR in 1982; a Master of Divinity degree in 1989 from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN; completed a full-year residency in Clinical Pastoral Education at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX in 2006; and received a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO in 2007.

Pastor Ken has previously served as pastor of the Berean Baptist Church in Memphis, TN and the Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia, LA. He has served as both an Active Duty and Air Force Reserve Chaplain since 1997, serving at Little Rock Air Force Base, AR; Clear Air Force Station, AK; Barksdale Air Force Base, Shreveport, LA; Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX; Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, OK; and Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, FL. He currently serves as a United States Air Force Reserve Chaplain at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Pastor Ken enjoys activities with family and friends, good coffee, reading, and watching Southeastern Conference football.

Dr. Bryan Bolton
Minister of Music and Children

Bro. Bryan is originally from Arkadelphia, AR and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR; a Master of Music in Church Music degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA; and the Doctor of Educational Ministry in Christian Worship degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.

Bro. Bryan has previously served Southern Baptist churches in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Kentucky. Prior to coming back to Arkansas, he was Assistant Professor of Music at Alice Lloyd College in Pippa Passes, KY and served as the director of the college choir, The Voices of Appalachia. He has served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church since January 2010.

In addition to his responsibilities at the church, Bro. Bryan serves as Associational Music Director for the Harmony Baptist Association in Pine Bluff. He has participated in several community programs as well as being a member of the Pine Bluff Community Band, where he plays the French Horn. He is also an active singer and instrumentalist of the Arkansas Master’Singers, a combined chorus comprised of ministers of music, music teachers, accompanists, and staff members from Southern Baptist churches across Arkansas.

Bro. Bryan is married to the former Erin Berry of Carlisle, AR. They have two children: Kaitlyn and Keith.
