We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and energetic childcare providers to fill two different positions in our growing Nursery Ministry.
 
The ideal candidate will provide childcare on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and Monday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. You will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for the children who attend our church services and events. You will also help them learn about the Bible and Christian values through age-appropriate activities and lessons.
 
Job Title: Childcare Coordinator

Hourly Wage: $30.00
 
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Childcare Coordinator to oversee our church nursery operations and help coordinate a rotating list of volunteers. The ideal candidate will be a nurturing, organized, and reliable individual with a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for childcare.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive childcare program that aligns with the church’s values.
  • Train, and supervise childcare staff.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and their families.
  • Manage the nursery budget and supplies.
  • Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers.
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to any event, unless stated otherwise by the Minister of Music and Children.
  • Remain in the classroom until the children are secured with the correct adult.
  • Clean the classroom while children are leaving or after children have left per the Policies and Procedures given by the Minister of Music and Children.
  • Maintain records and documentation as required by state regulations and church policies.
  • Report to the Minister of Music and Children any issues which are hindering the ability to carry out your duties or responsibilities.
  • Communicate in advance, by phone call or text to the Minister of Music and Children: 1) any planned absences with an advance two-week notice, or 2) any unplanned absences two hours prior to the shift, if possible.
  • Complete any task designated to you by the Minister of Music and Children within your realm of responsibility.
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience in caring for children between the ages of 0 to 6 with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities.
  • Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain one.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check.
  • Be of good moral and Christian character.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Reliable mode of transportation.
  • Stability of physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Knowledge of the age-appropriate needs for children.
  • Have a passion for serving God and His children.
 
Expected Hours:
  • Opportunities for work would include Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, Monday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and other church events where childcare is needed.
  • Work times could be given with ample notice or with short notice. The employee has the right to refuse the opportunity to work.
  • The church will pay $30 an hour and you will be guaranteed at least six hours each week.
 
Termination Policy:
  • A two-week notice is expected from the employee.
  • Dependability is essential. Tardiness and excessive absences cannot be tolerated and will result in termination of employment.
  • Immediate termination will occur in cases of intentional verbal, physical, or emotional abuse or neglect of any child, parent, or church member.
  • Termination may occur for failure to carry out job duties as described above or failure to comply with the Church’s Safety Policies.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the care and supervision of children during church services and events.
  • Provide age-appropriate care which includes feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, play, and prayer.
  • Be polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers.
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to any event, unless stated otherwise by the Minister of Music and Children.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area.
  • Follow all safety and health guidelines.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their child’s needs and experiences.
  • Report to the Childcare Coordinator any issues which are hindering the ability to carry out your duties or responsibilities.
  • Communicate in advance, by phone call or text to the Minister of Music and Children: 1) any planned absences with an advance two-week notice, or 2) any unplanned absences two hours prior to the shift, if possible.
  • Complete any task designated by the co-teacher within your realm of responsibility.
  • Complete any task designated to you by the Minister of Music and Children or Childcare Coordinator within your realm of responsibility.
